Karen, thanks for sharing your story...who would have known??? I guess we all have our crosses to carry. I think there is something for everyone in this book, even if your marriage is "ok".

Just "happened" to pick this up yesterday . . .finished it this morning. A much needed read . . . my husband and I have been married 21 years . . . your marriage with Paul resembles ours considerably. As recent empty-nesters, this has given me such hope for our new adventure . . . as husband and wife. God has certainly used you to speak to my heart, and, especially to my part in the "cold war" that has been insuing for years, between my husband and I . . . also, I have very similar "family of origin" (my past years of counseling are showing!)issues, too. Thanks for your candor, courage, humor and love of the Lord to help others who continue to "entrap" themselves in misery. Weird, never thought I was entrapping myself, but . . . your candor brought this to the forefront. Your sister in Christ
